If Facebook was a country it would be the 4ht largest in the world. 150 000 inhabitants, looking for news, playing games and networking. They speak 35 different languages and come from 170 different countries.

But social media is just for fun.

You hang out for a wile, you update, just like everybody else.

But what about everybody else,

and what about the rest of the social media world,

do we have even more social nations that could be added to the world map?

I gathered some statistics on social media to see what the  world map of social media would look like.

Just for fun.

Some short facts about our social planet:

YouTube is by far the biggest country, 300 000 000 viewers ever month, with an average of 17 videos per month their inhabitant in total consume 5 billions videos every month.

Linked in is growing by one new member every second and has now reached 36 million inhabitants, with is a million more than Tokyo.

75 000 000 people visited Twitter in January 2010. Seems like a nice place this time of the year.

A world that is changing constantly, and of course it is a real world, as long as everybody update.

Now, who doesn’t like geography!
